Immerse yourself in the 19th-century rural idyll at one of the most soulful spots in Iași. The Ion Creangă Memorial House, also known as "Bojdeuca" (Bojdeuca lui Ion Creangă), was the first literary museum in Romania, opening its doors to the public back in 1918. This modest wooden building in the Țicău district served as the home for the famous Romanian storyteller from 1872 to 1889.

Today, the museum complex is a wonderful blend of historical authenticity and modern cultural spaces. The authentic interior, featuring a traditional stove, clay floor, and wooden benches, has been carefully preserved, allowing visitors to literally experience the lifestyle of the past century. In 2023, the grounds underwent extensive restoration, making it even more comfortable for tourists.
In addition to the house itself, the complex includes a modern wing with a rich library and archival documents, as well as an open-air amphitheater seating 250 people. This is a place where literary heritage comes to life, offering guests more than just dry facts, but a chance to feel the spirit of folk tales and the sincere simplicity of a great writer's life.
