History & Facts

The history of this unique place began in the fall of 2009. It all grew out of the owners' personal hobby of breeding rare shrimp species. It was this passion for invertebrates that gave the project its name: the Latin word "nevertebrate" translates as such. Initially, it was just an online platform created to fill the gap in exotic aquatic inhabitants on the Romanian market.

Over time, the project outgrew its online store format. The desire to create a professional space for like-minded people led to the opening of a physical store in Cluj-Napoca. Over the years, the site has undergone several stages of modernization, constantly improving the living conditions for animals and expanding the range.

Today, this place is considered a true center of expertise. From a simple hobby, the founders have created a modern exhibition and retail space that attracts not only professional aquarists but also curious tourists from all over the country.

Time Needed

If your goal is to quickly browse the displays and see the main inhabitants, **30–60 minutes** will be quite enough. This is enough time to appreciate the variety of species presented and take a few photos of the beautiful aquariums.

For those planning to study the range in detail or consult with experts on keeping reptiles or aquarium systems, it is recommended to set aside **1 to 2 hours**. The calm atmosphere encourages staying longer at the demonstration aquariums (showroom) to carefully examine the details of the aquatic ecosystem designs.
