The Victory Park Museum invites you to immerse yourself in an atmosphere of military glory and witness the might of domestic weaponry. This unique open-air museum, located in the city of Cherepovets, has become a true symbol of memory and pride for the people of Russia. The grand opening of the complex took place on May 9, 2015, timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.

A large-scale exhibition covering nearly 3 hectares features 15 themed areas. Be sure to walk along the Alley of Heroes, which features portraits of prominent Soviet commanders, and visit the "Memory Wall" memorial complex. Here, among thousands of photographs of veterans, you can truly sense the scale of the people's feat. To search for information about their own relatives who served on the front lines, visitors can use a special information kiosk.

For younger visitors, the park features an excellent children's playground designed in a military style, with swings and slides shaped like military equipment. There is also an obstacle course where everyone can feel like a young soldier. Active recreation enthusiasts will appreciate the roller-ski track and the health trail that encircle the museum grounds, allowing you to combine a cultural program with sports activities.

The Victory Park Museum is located in the industrial district at 8A Ulitsa Parkovaya, near the banks of the Sheksna River. Reaching it by public transport is easy: use buses or fixed-route taxis to the "Park Pobedy" or "ul. Parkovaya" stops. From the stop, it is just a few minutes' walk to the museum entrance.

If you prefer a taxi or a private car, the trip from the city center will take about 10 minutes. Convenient parking is available next to the museum grounds. For those who enjoy walking, the route from the central streets will take approximately 20–30 minutes, allowing you to enjoy views of Cherepovets along the way.

The Church of the Nativity of Christ, located in the immediate vicinity of the park, serves as a landmark for drivers and pedestrians. Admission to the open-air museum grounds is free, and the military equipment is visible from afar, so you certainly won't miss the spot.

The history of this location began long before the arrival of the military exhibits. This area was once home to a village that disappeared in the early 20th century, leaving behind a wasteland. It wasn't until 1963 that city authorities decided to create a park here, which was originally planned to be named Prisheksninsky.

Officially, Victory Park was established in May 1965 to mark the 20th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. On May 9 of that year, veterans personally planted the first alley. Literally the entire city participated in creating the green zone: schoolchildren, Komsomol members, and workers from local enterprises, including the metallurgical giant.

A new chapter in the park's life began in 2015, when a full-scale open-air museum of military equipment was opened here for the 70th anniversary of Victory. This transformed the area, turning an ordinary green space into an important memorial and educational center where history comes to life in metal and concrete.

Today, the museum is part of the Cherepovets Museum Association—one of the oldest cultural organizations in the region, founded back in the 1870s. Thanks to this partnership, the park's exhibition is constantly updated with rare and significant examples of weaponry, preserving the memory of the feats of past generations.

To leisurely explore all 15 military equipment platforms and carefully study the themed exhibits, visitors usually need about 1–1.5 hours. This is enough time to take photos and read the information on the stands.

If you plan to walk through the entire park territory, visit the "Memory Wall" memorials, and relax in the green zone, we recommend allowing 2 hours for your visit. Families with children may need a bit more time, as there are playgrounds and interactive zones within the park.

The Victory Park Museum welcomes guests throughout the week, except for Mondays. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.
