Built in 1971, the circus building itself is a landmark due to its unique architecture. Instead of a traditional dome, its roof is designed as a striking hyperbolic paraboloid, or "hypar." This bold construction, consisting of crossing steel cables and reinforced concrete slabs forming a thin-walled shell, gives the building a futuristic and memorable look.
Inside, a spacious auditorium awaits spectators, which was originally designed for 2,300 seats. Over time, to improve visitor comfort, the seats were replaced with more comfortable ones, and the hall now accommodates 1,600 circus enthusiasts. This allows everyone to enjoy spectacular performances in a cozy atmosphere, making every visit to the Novosibirsk State Circus an unforgettable event.
