The Yekaterinburg Oceanarium is a unique underwater museum that has become a true gem of the city of Yekaterinburg. It is rightfully considered the largest oceanarium in the Urals and is among the top three largest in Russia. This impressive complex, spanning an area of about eight thousand square meters, invites visitors on an exciting journey through marine and freshwater depths.

Inside the oceanarium, you will find six spacious pools home to various marine animals, as well as as many as 40 aquariums representing thousands of freshwater and marine species from all over the world. The variety of exhibits allows you to get acquainted with amazing life forms, from tiny fish to larger marine creatures. A special amphitheater is also equipped on the complex's territory for educational and entertainment programs.
Of particular note is the fact that Yekaterinburg is located far from any sea. Therefore, the water for the oceanarium's marine inhabitants undergoes a complex 40-stage purification and preparation system before reaching the required salt composition. This not only guarantees comfortable conditions for all its amazing residents but also allows guests to enjoy the beauty of the underwater world without leaving the Urals.
