Sofiyivka Park in the city of Uman is not just a park, but a true gem of landscape art in Ukraine and throughout Eastern Europe. Founded at the end of the 18th century by Count Stanisław Potocki as a gift to his wife Sofia, this dendrological park is an outstanding monument of landscape architecture and a symbol of eternal love. Originally conceived as an illustration of Homer's poems, the park continues to amaze today with its harmony of mythological themes and natural beauty.
Covering almost 180 hectares, the park's territory is an amazing combination of picturesque landscapes and man-made wonders. Artificial lakes and waterfalls harmoniously coexist here with mysterious grottos, elegant sculptures in the antique style, and architectural structures built in the spirit of Classicism. The plant collection includes more than 3,300 species from all over the world, making a walk through the park an educational journey into the world of flora.
