Alunelul Park, which means "little hazelnut" in Romanian, is a charming urban park located in the western part of Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. This green oasis in the Buiucani sector covers an area of about 11 hectares, offering residents and visitors a pleasant place for relaxation and walks.

The history of Alunelul Park gives it a special atmosphere. It is situated on the site of a former Jewish cemetery, making it more than just a recreation area but a place with deep historical context. Deep within the park lies the important Memorial Complex to the victims of the 1903 Chisinau Pogrom, erected in 1993, which serves as a reminder of the tragic events of the past.
In late 2020, Alunelul Park was transformed through a complete renovation, significantly increasing its appeal. The jewel of the updated park is the magnificent musical fountain. During the summer, it puts on spectacular shows: 284 water jets, illuminated by multi-colored lights, soar up to 10 meters in time with the music, creating a truly magical sight and making the park a favorite spot for evening walks.
