The Palace of Sports in Kyiv is the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex in Ukraine, located in the very heart of the capital on Sportyvna Square. This monumental four-story structure is impressive in its size: it is 138 meters long, 78 meters wide, and reaches a height of 18.5 meters. The architectural appearance of the building is memorable for its transparent glass facades, which are divided by strict rows of columns and horizontal aluminum panels.

The central element of the complex is a 61x30 meter sports arena situated on a solid reinforced concrete slab. The main feature of the Palace of Sports is its surprising multifunctionality. The space is easily transformed: the sports arena can be converted into a floor area for concerts, which significantly increases capacity. Originally, the hall could accommodate between 8,236 and 11,712 spectators, while modern configurations allow for up to 9,800 people at concert events.
Thanks to modern technical equipment, including advanced lighting and acoustic systems, as well as powerful air conditioning, the Palace of Sports has become the country's main venue for a wide variety of events. Over its long history, it has hosted 16 world championships, about 30 European championships, hundreds of tournaments, and concerts by international stars such as Depeche Mode, a-ha, Muse, and many others. In 2005, it hosted the Eurovision Song Contest. Today, the Palace of Sports continues to be the center of sporting and cultural life in Kyiv, attracting thousands of visitors to competitions, exhibitions, and grand shows.
