Kyiv Zoo is not just a place for family walks, but an important conservation, research, and cultural-educational institution in Kyiv. Located in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital of Ukraine, it has the status of a zoological park of national importance and is an artificially created object of the country's nature reserve fund. Since 1913, the zoo has been located on Peremohy Avenue, where it continues to delight visitors today.

The zoo territory is a true green oasis. More than 130 species of trees and shrubs grow here, creating conditions for the animals that are as close as possible to their natural habitat. This makes a walk through the zoo not only educational but also especially pleasant, allowing you to take a break from the city bustle surrounded by nature.
One of the key tasks of Kyiv Zoo is the conservation of biodiversity. Serious work is carried out here on the acclimatization of animals brought from different parts of the planet — from the hot tropics to the harsh North. Special attention is paid to breeding programs for rare and endangered species, making the zoo an important center for the protection of world fauna.
