In the very heart of the city of Gomel, on the spacious Lenin Square, sits a symbol from which all roads in the region begin. The Zero Kilometer is not just a commemorative marker, but a symbolic starting point connecting this cozy corner of Belarus with dozens of other cities. Crafted in the form of an elegant pillar, it serves as a reminder that any great journey always begins with the first step.

This commemorative marker was cast at the local "Centrolit" plant and installed in Turovsky Square. On one side, you can see the exact distances to various cities, and on the other, you can get acquainted with the geography of international connections. A pillar is installed here with directional signs to 19 sister cities, including Aberdeen in Scotland, Clermont-Ferrand in France, and Huai'an in China.
Thanks to its location next to the majestic Drama Theatre building, the Zero Kilometer has become a popular meeting place and a mandatory stop on any tourist's itinerary. Its high popularity and hundreds of positive reviews confirm: this small but very significant spot has its own special attractive energy and is an ideal backdrop for memorable photos.
