Located in the cozy town of Glens Falls, The Hyde Collection is a unique blend of a historic residential space and a world-class art museum. It is a place where art meets the domestic comfort of the American Renaissance era. The heart of the museum is Hyde House, built in 1912, which is an architectural treasure in its own right and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the USA.

Inside, the museum houses an impressive collection of nearly 4,000 objects of Western art. Here, you can see authentic masterpieces by such luminaries as Rembrandt, Rubens, Picasso, Van Gogh, and Cézanne. The exhibition is unique because many paintings and sculptures are displayed within authentic interiors among antique furniture, rare books, and exquisite ceramics, just as the founders—Louis and Charlotte Hyde—intended.
In addition to the historic building, the museum includes a modern wing built in 1989, which hosts temporary exhibitions and educational events. The Hyde Collection is rightfully considered one of the best small museums in the Northeast, offering visitors an intimate and inspiring atmosphere comparable in quality to the world's major galleries.
