Long Khanh, located in the southern part of Vietnam, features a classic tropical monsoon climate. It is almost never cold here, and the weather is largely determined by the movement of air masses, bringing either dry heat or heavy moisture. The year in this region is clearly divided into two main periods: the dry season, lasting from November to April, and the rainy season, which spans from May to October. During the dry months, the sky is often clear, providing excellent conditions for exploring, while the monsoon period brings a welcome freshness after the hot days.

One of the main features of the local climate is high humidity, which is felt most intensely just before heavy downpours. Nevertheless, the steady temperatures allow travelers to feel comfortable if they pack the right wardrobe and keep the seasonal rainfall schedule in mind.

The temperature in Long Khanh is remarkably consistent, with a narrow range of annual fluctuation. The hottest period is from March to May, when daytime highs often reach +33–35°C. During this time, even the nights offer only relative relief, as the thermometer rarely drops below +25°C.

This is a time of perfect blue skies and consistently dry weather, which is most comfortable for long trips and active sightseeing of the natural attractions in the surrounding area.

When packing for a trip to Long Khanh, opt for clothing made of natural, breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen. Light shorts, T-shirts, and loose dresses are suitable year-round. Be sure to bring sunglasses, a hat, and high-SPF sunscreen, as the tropical sun in Vietnam is very strong even on cloudy days.
