Mirabell Palace (Schloss Mirabell) is one of Salzburg's most famous and delightful attractions, a true masterpiece of Baroque architecture in the heart of Austria. This magnificent palace and park ensemble is rightfully considered a gem of the city and, along with its historic center, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in 1606, the palace was originally a gift from the archbishop to his beloved.
Although a major fire in 1818 caused significant damage to the building, after which part of it was restored in a more restrained Neoclassical style, the palace retained its Baroque splendor. Authentic elements like the grand staircase and the west facade have survived to this day. This architectural contrast gives the palace a special charm and tells the story of its rich history.

Today, Mirabell Palace is more than just a historical monument. Its halls house the city administration, and the famous Marble Hall, formerly the banquet hall of the prince-archbishops, is considered one of the most beautiful wedding halls in the world. Mozart once performed here with his father, and now classical music concerts and formal receptions are held regularly, making the palace a living center of Salzburg's cultural life.
