Where workshops once hummed and molten metal flowed, today stands one of Europe's most unusual architectural structures. The Bolt Tower is a unique observation deck crowning Blast Furnace No. 1 within the famous Dolní Vítkovice industrial complex. Located in the city of Ostrava, this structure has become a symbol of the transformation of an industrial giant into a modern cultural space.

The glass structure of the tower soars 25 metres above the historic furnace, reaching a total height of 78 metres. Its spiral shape resembles the flames of a fire that burned for decades in the heart of the local plant. The site was named after the legendary sprinter Usain Bolt, who officially opened the tower in 2015 during his visit to Czechia.
Today, it is more than just a tourist attraction; it is the highest geographical point in the city, offering guests a breathtaking panoramic view. The combination of the raw iron of the old furnace and light modern glass creates a stunning contrast, highlighting the importance of industrial heritage and its inseparable link to the future.
