The Little World of Marcel Pagnol is more than just a museum; it is a true tribute to Provence and the work of the great writer. Located in the historic center of Aubagne, this exhibition invites visitors on a journey through the pages of books and frames of films by the famous filmmaker, who was born here in 1895. France carefully preserves the memory of its genius, and in this place, his fictional world takes a tangible form.

The collection's heart consists of over 200 santons—traditional Provençal clay figurines created by the best local craftsmen. In an area of about 180 square meters, scenes from legendary works such as "My Father's Glory" and "Jean de Florette" are played out. Tiny characters "come to life" against realistic backdrops of the Garlaban hills, recreated using two tons of plaster.
Since 2018, the museum has occupied the building of the Thérèse Neveu workshop, a historic site where the outstanding santon artist worked. Today, it is a modern interactive space combining folk crafts and multimedia technologies, attracting thousands of tourists every year who wish to feel the authentic atmosphere of the southern region.
