On the southeastern edge of the old town, within the walls of a majestic former monastery, lies the St. Anne’s Museum Quarter. This unique cultural space is rightfully considered the spiritual heart of Lübeck in Germany. Here, austere 15th-century Gothic architecture harmoniously coexists with bold modern solutions.

Founded in 1915, the complex includes two important venues: the St. Anne's Museum, which houses medieval treasures, and the Kunsthalle gallery, dedicated to the art of our time. This combination turns the quarter into a true sanctuary of art, where the past meets the present.
The architectural ensemble of the quarter deserves special attention. The reconstruction of the complex was awarded the main prize by the Association of German Architects, as specialists managed to seamlessly integrate modern exhibition halls into the fabric of Lübeck's historical heritage.
