Bahia Palace is one of the most impressive attractions in Marrakesh and a recognized masterpiece of 19th-century Moroccan architecture. The palace's name translates as "Palace of the Beautiful" or "Brilliance," and it was intended to be the most luxurious residence of its time to reflect the greatness and wealth of its owners. Located in the heart of the old medina, this architectural ensemble is a must-see on any traveler's itinerary.

The complex, spanning nearly 8 hectares, consists of more than 150 rooms, courtyards, lush gardens, and fountains. Visitors are struck by the richness of the decor: the walls and ceilings are adorned with intricate cedar wood carvings and exquisite stucco work, while the floors and walls are covered in traditional Moroccan zellij mosaics. Every hall and passage reveals new details and patterns, demonstrating the incredible craftsmanship of the artisans of that time.
Walking through the palace, you are immersed in the atmosphere of an Oriental fairy tale. Shaded gardens with orange and banana trees, cypresses, and jasmine create a sense of coolness and peace. Although construction was carried out in stages, leading to a somewhat chaotic layout, it is this very feature that gives Bahia Palace its unique charm, turning it into a fascinating labyrinth full of hidden treasures and magnificent views.
