Grand Maket Russia is a unique national show-museum in St. Petersburg, which is a giant working model of Russia. The exhibit is the largest model of the country in the world and the second largest in the world, surpassed only by Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. This museum will be of interest to visitors of all ages, as it allows you to take an amazing journey across the entire country in just a few hours.
On a huge area of 800 square meters, at a scale of 1:87, collective images of various regions of the Russian Federation are recreated. Here you can see miniature life bustling from Kaliningrad to the Far East, including the Ural Mountains, Siberia, and iconic landmarks of major cities. The creators have conveyed the diversity of landscapes with incredible accuracy: from forests and rivers to city streets and industrial zones.

Thousands of moving objects give the model a special sense of realism. More than 200 trains run along miniature railways, and traffic bustles on city streets. One of the main highlights of the museum is the dynamic change of day and night, which occurs every 13–15 minutes thanks to a system of almost 800,000 LEDs, immersing visitors in either a bright sunny day or the glow of night lights.
The museum is located in a separate two-story building built in 1953 in the Stalinist Empire style. Grand Maket Russia is not just a static exhibit, but a complex technical organism controlled by dozens of computers. Visitors can not only observe the life of the miniature country but also interact with it, triggering various scenes using special buttons. This is a place where art and modern technology unite to provide an unforgettable experience.
