In the heart of the historic quarter of Ponferrada lies one of the region's most original cultural spaces — the Radio Museum. This unique venue is housed within the walls of the magnificent 18th-century mansion, "Casa de los Escudos". The museum is a tribute to the art of broadcasting in Spain and bears the name of the renowned journalist Luis del Olmo.

The museum's collection is rightfully considered one of the most representative and complete. It features over 300 radio receivers donated by Luis del Olmo himself. The halls display rare pieces of equipment from giants such as Telefunken, Philips, and Marconi, covering a vast period of technological development — from the first faint signals to the modern digital era.
The museum's total holdings include approximately 400 exhibits, featuring not only receivers but also microphones, vintage recording devices, and transmitters. This is not just an exhibition of old things, but a true journey through time, allowing you to feel the magic of the airwaves that united millions of people for decades.
