The Tophane Clock Tower (Tophane Saat Kulesi) is one of the most recognizable architectural symbols of Bursa and an important historical landmark in Turkey. Located in the park of the same name in the historical heart of the city, this tower is an integral part of the city skyline and is visible from many points. The structure attracts travelers not only with its grandeur but also with its rich past, being part of the architectural heritage that belongs to the golden fund of world architecture.
Built in 1905, the six-story tower reaches a height of 33 meters. Its construction was timed to the anniversary of Sultan Abdul Hamid II's accession to the throne. Initially, in addition to its primary function, the tower also served as a fire watch station. Today, this monumental structure, made of dressed stone, allows visitors to touch history and appreciate the craftsmanship of Ottoman architects.
