On the picturesque banks of the Styr River in the ancient city of Lutsk sits one of the region's most colorful buildings — the House with Chimeras. This unique residential structure, also known as the Holovan House, is an amazing symbiosis of living space and an art studio, and it is rightfully considered a landmark that Ukraine is proud of.

Built according to the project of architect Rostislav Metelnytskyi in 1980, the building became the life's work of sculptor Mykola Holovan. The facades, roof, and courtyards are decorated with more than 500 stone sculptures and bas-reliefs, where elements of Gothic, Baroque, and Antiquity are whimsically intertwined. A family monogram graces the entrance, and the pediment features a massive bas-relief depicting the members of the master's family.
Today, this "House of a Thousand Faces" is officially included in the list of the seven "Wonders of Volyn." Located within the "Old Lutsk" Historical and Cultural Reserve, it attracts travelers with its unusual aesthetics and creative energy, turning an ordinary walk down Liuteranska Street into an immersion into a world of fantasy and stone.
