How to get to Guangyuan

Guangyuan is a picturesque city in the north of Sichuan province, often referred to as the "northern gateway" to this amazing region. A journey to Guangyuan promises an encounter with rich historical heritage and the majestic mountain landscapes of China. You can reach here in various ways: by using the local airport, high-speed train, or by taking a trip by car along modern highways.

The fastest way to reach the region is to take a flight to Guangyuan Airport (GYS). This aviation hub is well-connected to the city and receives regular flights, ensuring a comfortable arrival for tourists.

Alternatively, you can consider flying to neighboring cities: Langzhong (98 km) or Hanzhong (131 km). An option to arrive in Longnan is also available, located 137 km away, from where it is convenient to continue the journey by ground transport.

Guangyuan is an important transport hub on the Xi'an — Chengdu high-speed railway, making it very convenient to get here by train. Guangyuan Railway Station receives modern high-speed trains (categories G and D), allowing for quick travel from the country's major metropolises.

If you are planning a complex route, you can also arrive via neighboring Langzhong or Hanzhong, however, a direct connection to the city itself is usually the most preferred and fastest option.

Traveling by car offers freedom of movement and the opportunity to see picturesque landscapes along the way. One of the shortest routes leads from the city of Langzhong: the distance of 124 km can be covered in approximately 1.9 hours.

A convenient road also runs from the city of Hanzhong, taking about 2.5 hours (169 km). If you are departing from the city of Longnan, the travel time will be approximately 2.8 hours, during which you will drive just over 200 km on quality highways.
