This time is ideal for those who prefer sightseeing without exhausting heat and downpours. Transitional seasons also have their own features: spring warms up quickly but becomes rainy starting from March, while autumn, especially November, delights with reduced humidity and comfortable warmth.

Weather conditions in the city of Taishan are characterized by a mild subtropical climate, which allows for comfortable travel at almost any time of the year. Winter here is exceptionally warm and is nothing like the harsh cold of northern regions: even in January, the coolest month, the average temperature holds at +15.7°C, and the average night temperature is about +12°C. This time of year is ideal for those who wish to avoid freezing temperatures, as the weather rather resembles a pleasant spring.

The summer season brings real heat. The most sweltering month is July with an average temperature of +28.9°C and daytime maximums reaching +31.6°C. In the period from June to August, the heat is felt around the clock: the difference between day and night temperatures is about 5–6 degrees, and even after sunset, the air remains warmed above +26°C.

Spring and autumn offer the most balanced temperature regimes, although in spring one should be ready for rapid warming from +21°C in March to +26.7°C by May. October gifts travellers comfortable +24.3°C, when the summer heat has already subsided. It is worth noting that in the winter and spring months, daily temperature fluctuations are more noticeable than in summer, reaching a difference of 7–8 degrees between day and night, so light outerwear may be useful for evening walks during this period.

When planning a trip to Taishan, it is important to consider the distinct seasonality of precipitation. The year here is clearly divided into dry and wet periods, which can significantly affect your sightseeing plans. The most favourable time for lovers of clear weather is winter: December is considered the driest month of the year, when precipitation is practically absent, and the probability of rain is reduced to a minimum (on average only 2 rainy days).

With the arrival of warmth, the picture changes, and the city enters a long rainy season. Starting from May and right up to September, precipitation becomes a frequent companion for travellers. The peak of humidity falls on summer: in August and June, rains can occur almost daily (up to 25–26 days a month). During this period, an umbrella and a raincoat will become your main essentials on the trip.

Spring months, such as March and April, represent a transitional period. Although the total volume of precipitation in millimetres remains low, the number of rainy days increases sharply compared to winter (up to 15–16 days). This indicates that frequent, but likely not too intense drizzle or short-term rains are characteristic of the region in spring, creating a special atmosphere but not interfering with walks as much as summer rainfall.

When preparing for a trip to Taishan, one should focus on the warm and humid climate of this region. For summer travel (from May to September), when the temperature often stays near the +30°C mark, light clothing made of natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton or linen, is ideal. Be sure to pack sunscreen, a head covering, and sunglasses in your suitcase, as the sun can be very active. Considering that summer is the rainy season with high humidity (especially June and August), a compact but sturdy umbrella or a high-quality raincoat will become your best friends.

Winter in this region of China is mild and comfortable; severe cold does not occur, however, in January and December, the temperature can drop to +12°C, so a light jacket, windbreaker, or warm jumper will be necessary for evening walks. The principle of layering is especially relevant in spring and autumn when the weather is changeable. And, of course, regardless of the season, do not forget comfortable walking shoes with flat soles: sightseeing will require long walks.
