Precipitation during the winter period falls significantly less often than in summer.

Thanks to the mild climate, even in winter, precipitation falls more often in the form of rain, and snow, if it happens, melts quite quickly.

When planning a trip to Tianmen, first take care of comfortable footwear. For long walks along city streets, parks, and embankments, broken-in sneakers, canvas shoes, or soft-soled loafers are best suited. High-heeled shoes may prove impractical for sightseeing holidays, so they should be left exclusively for evening events at a restaurant.

The contents of your wardrobe depend directly on the time of year. Summer in the region is hot and humid: in July and August, the thermometer often rises above +30°C. During this period, loose items made of natural breathable fabrics, such as cotton or linen, are indispensable. In winter, it is quite cool here (average temperature is about +5°C, but at night it can drop to 0°C), so a warm windproof jacket, sweater, and scarf will be necessary for a comfortable stay outdoors.

Particular attention should be paid to protection from precipitation, especially if your trip falls during the summer season. June and July are the rainiest months (up to 16 days with precipitation), so a compact umbrella or a high-quality raincoat must be in your suitcase. Also, do not forget sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the active sun during daytime walks.
