When preparing for a trip to Yongzhou, it is important to consider the high humidity and frequent precipitation, especially in the spring and early summer periods. Since from March to June the number of rainy days can reach 19–20 per month, be sure to put a high-quality raincoat, a waterproof windbreaker, and a sturdy umbrella in your suitcase. For the winter months (December–February), when the temperature drops to +4°C, a warm jacket, sweaters, and closed shoes will be required, as due to the dampness, the cold may be felt more strongly than the thermometer indicates.

Summer in this region of China is hot, with temperatures reaching +33...34°C in July and August. For this time of year, clothing made of light natural fabrics, such as cotton or linen, which allow the skin to breathe, is ideal.
