The highest number of rainy days is observed from March to August, especially in May and June, when rains are frequent, although, judging by general indicators, they are not always heavy. In spring, when the temperature gradually rises from an average of 16°C to 23°C, and in early summer, when rains are particularly frequent (May and June count 26 rainy days each), a light waterproof jacket or windbreaker over a t-shirt will come in handy. Insect repellent will also not be superfluous, especially if you plan nature walks during the warm and humid months.

In autumn (September-November), the weather in Guilin becomes cooler but still very pleasant for travel, with average temperatures from 16°C to 26°C. September is still quite warm, but by November the approach of winter is already felt. The layering principle is also relevant here: t-shirts, light sweaters, and a jacket that can be removed during the warm daytime hours. In winter (December-February), the average temperature holds around 9-11°C, sometimes dropping to 6°C. During this period, you will need warm items: sweaters, a fleece jacket, an insulated coat, and perhaps a hat and gloves, especially for evening walks. Although the total amount of precipitation in winter is small (2-4 mm per month), rainy days still occur (10-18 days per month), so light waterproof clothing or an umbrella may come in handy in this season as well.
