Moskvarium is not just an aquarium, but a true center of oceanography and marine biology located on the territory of VDNH in Moscow. It is recognized as one of the largest in Europe, especially among those far from the sea coast. The complex, opened in 2015, is impressive in its scale: its total area is 53,000 m², with more than 12,000 m² dedicated to aquariums. This place has become one of the main points of attraction for tourists and residents of the capital.
Inside Moskvarium, an amazing journey through the underwater world awaits you. More than 12,000 marine and freshwater inhabitants, representing over 600 species from all corners of the planet, live in 80 aquariums. Here you can meet both familiar inhabitants of Russia's rivers and seas and exotic animals. Special attention is drawn to the Baikal seals, Asian otters, capybaras, as well as the rare hawksbill sea turtle and giant sand tiger sharks. The exhibition is designed so that visitors can get acquainted with a variety of ecosystems—from coral reefs to the depths of the World Ocean.

Moskvarium is a multifunctional space where entertainment is combined with science and education. In addition to observing the aquariums, exciting water shows featuring dolphins, sea lions, a walrus, and killer whales regularly take place here. For the most inquisitive, educational classes, excursions, and quests are held. A unique feature of the complex is its highly sophisticated water preparation system: water is taken from the regular water supply, after which it undergoes multi-stage purification and is enriched with the necessary salts to create the ideal habitat for its residents.
