The majestic Victory Monument, also known as the Monument of Military and Labor Glory, is rightfully considered the main memorial symbol of Penza. This impressive complex, located in Russia, was created as a sign of deep respect for the regional contribution during the Great Patriotic War. It honors the memory of both the heroes on the front lines and the dedicated home-front workers.

The center of the composition is the monument atop Glory Hill, crowned by a powerful 5.6-meter figure of a warrior with a waving banner. The granite ramps surrounding the hill are designed so that, from a bird's-eye view, they form the distinct outline of a five-pointed star. The architectural ensemble also includes a special niche housing a sacred relic—the Commemorative Book containing the names of over one hundred thousand fallen locals.
The memorial is unique because it resulted from a genuine grassroots effort: it was built using voluntary donations from citizens. Today, it is not just a historical site but also a major urban landmark in Penza, attracting tourists with its solemn atmosphere and monumental design. The complex is surrounded by a well-maintained area that blends harmoniously into the modern city landscape.
