Imagine a cozy square in the historic center where time seems to stand still three times a day under the melodic chime of bells. The Graz Glockenspiel is a famous musical carillon located on the facade of House No. 4 on Glockenspielplatz. It is not just a clock, but a true masterpiece of engineering and applied art, becoming one of the landmarks that Graz is proud of.

The carillon mechanism consists of 24 bells hidden in the tower and moving wooden figures. Every day, to the sound of traditional melodies, two figures in national Styrian costumes appear on the small balcony and begin their graceful dance. This little performance concludes with the appearance of a golden rooster, which puts a final touch on the musical piece with its ringing crow.
When visiting a country like Austria, it is hard to pass by this building. Its facade, designed in the Historicist style with Art Nouveau elements, harmoniously complements the appearance of the old town. Today, the Glockenspiel is a magnet for tourists from all over the world, offering them a moment to step back into the past and touch the rich cultural heritage of Styria.
