Imagine a place where festive lights never dim even in the height of summer, and the scent of pine and cinnamon lingers in the air all year round. The Christmas House (Vánoční dům) is a unique exhibition complex in Karlovy Vary, nestled within the walls of the historic Doubí Castle on the banks of the Ohře River. This isn't just a museum, but a truly interactive space where childhood dreams and centuries-old traditions, carefully preserved by Czechia, come to life.

The exhibition spans the halls of a castle dating back nearly 700 years. Here, 19th-century antique toys and retro decorations from the last century sit alongside modern designer installations. One of the museum's highlights is the country's largest collection of teddy bears, officially listed in the Czech Book of Records. Visitors are greeted by a majestic eight-meter Christmas tree adorned with thousands of lights and a meticulously detailed Magic Village with miniature trains and carousels.
The space is divided into themed zones: from nostalgic rooms featuring decorations from our grandmothers' time to opulent halls in classic Christmas colors—gold, silver, and red. Thanks to its cozy café and designer souvenir shop, the Christmas House has become a favorite spot for family outings, where every guest can step back into their childhood for a while.
