The complex, which opened in Czechia after a major reconstruction, impresses with its scale and thoughtful design. It features four functional zones: three operate year-round indoors, while one invites guests outdoors during warm summer days. For those who value an active lifestyle, there is a 25-meter pool, while adrenaline seekers will appreciate the giant slides, including the legendary x-tube, which is over 185 meters long.

This water park has become a key point on the region's tourist map, not only for its attractions but also for its special atmosphere of hospitality. An investment of 270 million crowns allowed for the creation of a space where professional swimmers, families with small children, and those who simply want to relieve tension in a steam cabin feel equally comfortable.

What to Do

Everyone will find something to enjoy at this water complex. Fitness enthusiasts can head to the sports zone, which features a full 25-meter swimming pool. For those just learning to stay afloat, there is a special training pool where the depth and water temperature are perfect for first lessons.

Adrenaline seekers should check out the water slides. The winding x-tube, spanning 185.6 meters, guarantees an unforgettable descent, while the 140-meter black hole slide adds a touch of mystery to your adventure. After the active fun, you can move to the leisure pool or test your strength swimming against a powerful current in the counter-current pool.

For the youngest guests, a safe environment has been created in the "brouzdaliště" zone — a cozy, shallow paddling pool where children can splash under their parents' supervision. You can round off your water activities in the steam cabin, which helps you fully relax and recharge before further walks around the city.

Getting There

The water park is located in the Mařatice district at Sportovní 1214. If you are already in the city center, it is easily reachable by a leisurely walk or local public transport. A taxi ride from the main square or the main station will take no more than 5–10 minutes.

For travelers from other regions of Czechia or neighboring countries, a car is the most convenient option. The distance from Brno is about 80 km, from Bratislava — 105 km, and from Vienna — 126 km. The main routes follow the D1 or E50 highways, after which you should turn onto local roads following the signs for Uherské Hradiště.

If you prefer public transport, use trains or intercity buses to the Uherské Hradiště station. Local buses run regularly from the railway station to the water park, and taxis are always available right at the station exit.

History & Facts

The history of this site began long before the modern complex appeared. The water park was built on the foundation of an old sports center: an outdoor pool had been operating here since 1962, and the indoor building was launched in 1991. By the early 2000s, the infrastructure was noticeably outdated, and in 2003, city authorities decided on a major modernization of the facility.

The transformation process started in the autumn of 2009. Builders faced serious challenges: the winter of 2009/2010 was unusually harsh, which slowed down the work. Additionally, during reconstruction, it was discovered that the old pool roof was made of asbestos, requiring its complete and costly replacement for the safety of future visitors. Despite the difficulties and a budget increase of several million crowns, city authorities insisted on high-quality work.

Although about 1,800 minor defects were identified upon completion in November 2010, they were quickly rectified. The official opening took place on December 21, 2010. Today, it is a modern complex that resulted from an ambitious project to turn Soviet-era heritage into a first-class recreation center, with construction costs totaling around 270 million Czech crowns.

Time Needed

To fully appreciate all the complex has to offer, guests are recommended to plan a visit lasting from 3 to 5 hours. This is enough time to test the extreme slides, enjoy a swim in the training pool, and unwind in the relaxation area.

For families with children planning to spend time in the play areas and outdoor spaces during the summer season, the visit can extend to 6 hours. If your goal is only a workout in the 25-meter pool, you can finish in an hour and a half, though most visitors prefer to combine sport with water fun.

Working Hours

The water park welcomes guests daily, offering a convenient schedule for both early swimmers and those who prefer evening visits. From Monday to Friday, the complex is open from 10:00 to 21:30. On weekends — Saturday and Sunday — the center starts earlier, operating from 08:00 to 21:30.

Please note that the opening hours of individual zones, especially the outdoor summer area, may change depending on the season and weather conditions. Before your trip, it is recommended to check the official website for up-to-date information on a specific date or to learn about holiday hours.
