A sense of authentic aristocratic Provence envelops everyone who steps onto Place d'Albertas. This elegant architectural ensemble, located in the city of Aix-en-Provence, is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful spots that France is proud of. Created in the 18th century, it represents a harmonious combination of Baroque symmetry and the cozy atmosphere of an ancient European city.

The main feature of the square is its perfectly balanced proportions: three buildings with identical facades in a warm yellowish hue form a semi-circle facing the ancient d'Albertas family mansion. Exquisite wrought-iron balconies and strict rows of large windows create a rhythmic pattern that looks especially spectacular in the rays of the setting sun. At the center of the composition stands a cast-iron fountain, installed here in 1912, whose circular basin on a slender pedestal has become a favorite subject for photography.
In 2000, the square received official status as a historical monument, confirming its immense value. Despite its monumentality, the site retains a surprising sense of intimacy and authenticity: the slightly weathered plaster and ancient cobblestones recall the rich history of the family who migrated here from Italy to create their ideal window view.
