The Wrocław University Botanical Garden is a true green pearl located in the city of Wrocław, Poland. It is rightfully considered one of the oldest botanical gardens in the country, second in age only to the Jagiellonian University garden in Krakow. It is not just a collection of plants, but a living open-air museum that invites you to immerse yourself in the world of flora and take a break from the city bustle.

Founded back in 1811, the garden initially spread over an area of about 5 hectares. Interestingly, the lands of former city fortifications, destroyed during the Napoleonic Wars, were used for its creation. This gives the place a special historical atmosphere. Over time, the garden expanded, and by 1933 its area had increased by another hectare, allowing for even more unique plant displays.
Today, the Wrocław University Botanical Garden is not only a popular place for walks and recreation among residents and guests of Wrocław but also an important scientific and educational center. Research is conducted here, rare plant species are preserved, and students and scientists find inspiration for their work. A visit to the garden is a wonderful opportunity to learn something new about the plant world and enjoy its beauty in the heart of an ancient European city.
