The Clérigos Tower (Torre dos Clérigos) is not just a bell tower, but a true symbol of the city of Porto and one of the most recognizable landmarks in Portugal. As part of the magnificent Baroque architectural ensemble of Clérigos, it stands proudly above the ancient streets. Its spire is visible from almost anywhere in the city, making it a primary visual landmark.

The tower reaches a height of 76 meters, making it the tallest church bell tower in the entire country. Built in the 18th century according to the design of the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, it served not only religious purposes for many years but was also an important guide for ships entering the harbor. Today, it is one of the best observation decks, offering a breathtaking panorama of Porto's tiled roofs and the Douro River.
The tower is an integral part of the complex, which also includes the church and the museum of the Clérigos Brotherhood. Climbing to the top via a narrow spiral staircase of 225 steps is a small adventure rewarded by unforgettable views and the feeling that the entire city lies at your feet.
