The majestic Collegiate Church of San Patricio is an architectural landmark that Lorca is rightfully proud of. The temple, whose dimensions are comparable to a cathedral, represents an exquisite blend of Renaissance and Baroque styles. It is one of the most significant buildings in the Murcia region and was deservedly granted the status of a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1941.

One of the unique features of this place is its dedication to Saint Patrick. It is the only collegiate church in a country like Spain named after the patron saint of Ireland. The building impresses with its scale: three naves, twelve side chapels, and a luxurious ambulatory make it a must-see on the itinerary of any traveler interested in history and religion.
The main facade of the church, created at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, is considered one of the best examples of Baroque style in the region. It harmoniously complements the ensemble of Plaza de España, standing alongside the City Hall and ancient palace residences, creating an atmosphere of authentic Spanish grandeur and historical continuity.
