Balabanov House is one of the most famous and luxurious architectural gems of the Old Town, representing Bulgaria during its National Revival period. Located in the ancient city of Plovdiv, this 19th-century mansion is considered a benchmark of the symmetrical Plovdiv house style, capturing the imagination with its elegant bay windows and ornately painted facades.

The building harmoniously combines a massive stone first floor with lightweight wooden upper levels and white window frames. Today, the museum carefully preserves the authentic atmosphere of the second half of the 19th century: visitors can see original Viennese furniture, exquisite tableware, and magnificent carved wooden ceilings, which are considered true masterpieces of applied art.
Nowadays, the Balabanov House functions not only as a museum of urban life but also as an active cultural space. It regularly hosts exhibitions by contemporary artists, and the spacious halls often serve as venues for chamber concerts and meetings of the creative intelligentsia.
