On the picturesque Anatolian shore of the Dardanelles Strait lies the Hamidiye Battery Park-Museum—a unique military-historical complex that has become one of the main attractions of Çanakkale. It is a place where the rugged power of ancient fortifications blends harmoniously with a modern recreational space. Established in the late 19th century, the battery served for a long time as a reliable shield guarding the approaches to the heart of the country that is today Turkey.

Today, the complex spans a vast area of over 100,000 m². Its architectural core consists of 10 casemates and a semicircle of gun platforms, which were transformed into high-tech museum halls after a major restoration in 2018. Here, history literally comes to life: the fort's ancient walls now serve as backdrops for interactive exhibitions dedicated to the fateful events of World War I.
Beyond its historical value, "Hamidiye" attracts visitors with its recreational zone. It is a complete cultural park center with pleasant walking paths, green lawns, and the Gallipoli Miniature Park, which features detailed models of castles and aircraft from that era. The park-museum offers guests a rare opportunity to touch the heroic past in a calm and inspiring atmosphere.
