If you're looking for a spot with the most breathtaking views of the city, Flora's Lookout (Flóra-pihenő) is exactly what you need. This impressive viewpoint is located in Pécs at an altitude of 404 meters, perched right on the edge of the Bertalan-szikla cliff. From here, a panoramic vista opens up over the eastern Mecsek Mountains and the charming neighborhoods for which Hungary is so well known.

The structure is a small pavilion built from local stone with a distinctive wooden roof. It blends harmoniously into the mountain landscape, surrounded by a picturesque pine forest. Interestingly, from certain angles, the rock formation beneath the lookout resembles a chair, which is why locals long called it Bányaszék ("the miner's chair").
Today, Flora's Lookout is considered one of the most romantic and peaceful spots in the area. The air, filled with the scent of pine needles, and the silence of the mountains make it the perfect place to slow down for a moment and admire the beauty of nature.
