The San Sebastián Aqueduct, also known among locals as the Garden Arches (Arcos do Jardim), is a magnificent 16th-century engineering feat located in the city of Coimbra. This historic structure in Portugal once served as a vital artery for the water supply and is today one of the city's most recognizable photo spots.

The aqueduct consists of 21 majestic spans stretching between two hills. The most impressive element of the structure is the so-called Arch of Honor—a wide central span decorated with classical Doric columns and statues of saints. The structure sits harmoniously next to the Botanical Garden of the University of Coimbra, creating a unique architectural and park ensemble.
Built upon ancient Roman ruins, the aqueduct has become a true symbol of the continuity of eras. It reaches a height of 13 meters, and its monumental appearance serves as a reminder of the region's rich historical heritage. Since 1910, the site has been officially included in the list of National Monuments and is considered a must-visit for every tourist.
