The Cervantes Birthplace Museum is not just a museum, but a true journey through time that transports you to the Golden Age of Spain. Located in the charming city of Alcalá de Henares, this house is the very place where the great writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, who gave the world the immortal "Don Quixote," was born and spent his early years.

The building is a carefully recreated two-story Castilian house from the 16th–17th centuries with a cozy inner courtyard. Every corner here is steeped in history and allows you to imagine in detail the lifestyle of a wealthy Spanish family of that era. The atmosphere is so authentic that it feels as if the owners have only stepped out of the rooms for a moment.
Inside, you will see a rich collection of exhibits: original furniture, household items, antique ceramics, engravings, and paintings. A special place in the exhibition is occupied by the bibliographic section, where rare editions of Cervantes' works are collected. The study of the writer's father, who was a surgeon, has also been recreated, adding another interesting touch to the family's history.
Visiting the Cervantes Birthplace Museum is a unique opportunity to touch the roots of the genius of one of the greatest writers in history and to better understand the context in which his famous works were born.
