Located in the ancient city of Valladolid, the Patio Herreriano Museum (Museo Patio Herreriano de Arte Contemporáneo Español) is one of the most significant centers of contemporary art that Spain takes pride in. Opened in 2002, this museum has become a meeting point for history and the avant-garde, offering visitors a unique aesthetic experience.

The museum's uniqueness lies in its unusual location: it occupies part of the ancient San Benito el Real monastery, whose history dates back to the 14th century. The building's architectural style, finalized at the end of the 16th century, is executed in the austere Herrerian style, creating a striking contrast with the contemporary artworks displayed within its walls.
Today, the museum's collection includes more than 900 works, spanning from 1918 to the present day. The core of the holdings is the prestigious "Colección Arte Contemporáneo," which allows visitors to trace the evolution of Spanish art through paintings, sculptures, and graphics by outstanding masters of the past and present.
