The Steffl Arena is a modern indoor sports arena located in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Formerly known as the Albert Schultz Eishalle and later the Erste Bank Arena, it serves as the home venue for the popular hockey team, the Vienna Capitals. The arena's capacity is 7,022 spectators, making it one of the most significant sports complexes in the region. The complex includes as many as three rinks, which are actively used not only for professional hockey matches but also for figure skating and public skating, giving everyone the opportunity to feel the ice under their skates.
In 2010-2011, the arena underwent a major renovation, which significantly increased its capacity from 4,500 to over 7,000 seats. Thanks to this update, the arena was equipped with modern audiovisual components installed by the Slovak company ColosseoEAS, allowing for high-level events.
In addition to hockey, the Steffl Arena is a multifunctional venue capable of hosting competitions in various sports. Matches in handball, volleyball, basketball, and even tennis can be successfully held here, highlighting its versatility and importance to Vienna's sporting life.
