The building's architectural design, created by Hérault Arnod Architectures, is striking with its unique five-point structure. This solution not only looks impressive but also ensures exceptional acoustics and close contact between the artist and the audience. Spanning over 2,000 square meters, the complex houses a 1,015-seat concert hall, a cozy restaurant, two bars, and professional recording studios.

The environmental component of the project deserves special mention: the roof is equipped with a powerful photovoltaic system, making the complex one of the "greenest" in the region. By day, the restaurant is buzzing with life, and as dusk falls, La Belle Électrique transforms into an epicenter of nightlife, offering guests the best of contemporary music.

History & Facts

The history of La Belle Électrique is inextricably linked to the revitalization of the Bouchayer-Viallet industrial district. The project was conceived back in 2005, when city authorities decided to create a modern cultural space on the site of former industrial facilities. This was a significant step in transforming a working-class neighborhood into an epicenter of creative life.

The MixLab association was specifically created to manage the future venue and won the competition in 2006. Construction work began in 2012, and the long-awaited grand opening took place on January 10, 2015. The building immediately became an architectural landmark of the district, drawing attention with its unusual design and eco-friendly features.

Since 2022, the venue has moved to a new management model, becoming a Cooperative Company of Collective Interest (SCIC). Now, decision-making involves not only administrators but also employees, partners, and even local residents. Such a democratic structure allows the project to stay as close as possible to its audience and respond flexibly to the needs of the cultural community.
