The club's location adds a special atmosphere: the three main stages—the Main Stage, "Mansarda," and "The Beat"—are located in a historic building from 1872, designed by architects A. L. Ober and I. P. Zalessky. These stages occupy the top three floors, creating a unique space for musical discoveries. The fourth, more intimate "Unplugged" stage is located in a separate building on Myasnitskaya Street, offering acoustic evenings and a cozy setting.

The club's repertoire is impressively diverse and rich. Every month, over 180 concerts take place across all its venues! This makes the Alexey Kozlov Club one of the most active and dynamic musical institutions in the capital. Here, you can hear both established jazz masters and rising stars, explore various musical genres, and simply enjoy the incredible energy of live sound among like-minded people.

History & Facts

The history of the Alexey Kozlov Club began in 2012 through the initiative of the "ArtBeat" Foundation for the Support of Contemporary Instrumental Music, headed by maestro Alexey Kozlov himself. Initially, the club found its home in the former "Fellini" restaurant within the "Olympic" sports complex. The first musical chord within the club's walls rang out on May 12, 2012, with a concert by Alexey Kozlov, and the official opening took place later that autumn. In its original format, the club featured one concert stage in the basement and could accommodate up to 300 music lovers. By November 2014, a second stage was opened, expanding performance opportunities.

The club's period at the "Olympic" concluded in December 2016, as the sports complex building was subsequently demolished for reconstruction. However, this was only the beginning of a new chapter. On May 31, 2017, the grand opening of the club took place at its new, landmark location—in a historic building dating back to 1872. This event was marked by a concert by the famous American Scott Henderson Trio. The move provided a new impetus for development: on September 6, 2017, the second stage at the new location, named "Mansarda," opened its doors, followed by a third stage, "The Beat," on December 13, 2018.

The club's growth didn't stop there. On April 21, 2022, a fourth stage, "Unplugged," was opened in a separate building, offering the public a more intimate performance format. Interestingly, the main club building on Maroseyka, which houses the three primary stages, is a witness to centuries of history. In the 17th century, the Malorossiyskoye Podvorye and the "Malorossiika" tavern stood on this site. It is believed that these historical sites gave Maroseyka Street its name (formerly known as Pokrovka), adding another layer to the unique atmosphere of this musical space.

Time Needed

When planning a visit to the Alexey Kozlov Club, you should account for the duration of the concert you intend to attend. Usually, performances, including possible intermissions or set changes, last from 2 to 3 hours. This is enough time to enjoy the music, feel the atmosphere of one of the club's stages, and create lasting impressions.

However, if your plans are more ambitious and you want to explore the different musical spaces—as there are four stages with a diverse program—or combine a cultural evening with dinner, your stay may be longer. In that case, you can easily spend the entire evening at the Alexey Kozlov Club, immersing yourself in the world of high-quality music and enjoying the venue's hospitality. We recommend checking the concert schedule in advance to plan your visit effectively.

Working Hours

The Alexey Kozlov Club generally opens its doors in the late afternoon and operates until late evening, based on the concert schedule. The main activity occurs during the evening hours when performances begin. Since the club has several stages and a busy schedule, exact opening hours may vary depending on the day of the week and planned events. Typically, concerts start between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, but these times are subject to change.

To get the most current information regarding the hours of a specific stage on the day of your visit, as well as concert start times, it is strongly recommended to visit the official Alexey Kozlov Club website or its social media pages. There, you can also view the schedule and purchase tickets. Given the venue's popularity and the high demand for many performers, booking tickets in advance is a very good idea, especially for performances by well-known musicians. The club is open year-round, offering a diverse musical program in every season.
