In the southern part of Albacete lies the stunning Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha — one of the youngest and most promising scientific parks that Spain is proud of. It is not just a park for strolling, but a true living open-air museum covering 7 hectares.

It houses an impressive variety of flora: nearly 30,000 plants representing more than 2,100 species and subspecies. The project was realized through the joint efforts of local authorities and the University of Castilla-La Mancha with the aim of preserving the unique ecosystems of the Mediterranean region and promoting botanical knowledge.
The site is of particular importance as an ecological benchmark: in 2020, the garden was recognized as the best in Europe for its environmental excellence. Combining scientific work with tourist accessibility, this place is perfect for both family vacations and a deep study of the nature of the Iberian Peninsula.
