The Xiyang Lou area is a unique architectural ensemble located in northwestern Beijing. It is part of the famous Yuanmingyuan ruins park, known worldwide as the Old Summer Palace. Unlike traditional Chinese buildings, Xiyang Lou consists of the "Western Mansions," which became the first and largest example of European Baroque in China.

This majestic complex once captured the imagination with its marble pavilions, intricate mazes, and grand fountains. Today's ruins preserve the spirit of the former luxury of the Qing dynasty imperial residence, which at its peak occupied an area five times larger than the famous Forbidden City.
A stroll through Xiyang Lou allows you to witness an amazing synthesis of cultures. Here, Western architectural forms were reimagined by Chinese craftsmen, creating a unique appearance for the buildings, adorned with exquisite carvings and decorative elements that continue to attract historians and travelers to this day.
