The Beijing Xinyue Aquarium is one of the world's largest indoor complexes dedicated to marine life, located in the heart of the capital of China. Occupying an area of about 120,000 square meters within the grounds of the famous Beijing Zoo, this grand blue structure has become a true symbol of marine research in Asia.
Inside the aquarium, more than 1,000 species of marine and freshwater creatures gathered from all corners of the globe reside. The space is divided into seven thematic zones, each transporting guests to different aquatic ecosystems—from the mysterious Amazon jungles to the vibrant coral reefs of the open ocean.
In addition to the massive water tanks, the complex includes a state-of-the-art 3,000-seat theater. This is where exciting shows featuring marine animals take place, making the aquarium an ideal destination for family vacations and an educational journey into the depths of the “World Ocean” right in the middle of the metropolis.
