Here, in Italy, you will find an impressive collection of more than 50 aircraft. The exhibition spans different eras and countries: from Italian and American fighters to powerful Soviet military machines. The aircraft are harmoniously placed on the slopes of a green hill, making the walk not only educational but also aesthetically pleasing.

In addition to aviation, the park offers a look at anti-aircraft installations, radar stations, and rare military equipment. Inside the covered pavilion, another treasure awaits guests — a rich collection of flight uniforms, orders, and medals, reflecting the history of sky conquest from the beginning of the last century to the present day.

What to Do

The main adventure here is walking among real steel legends. You can take a close look at combat and civilian aircraft, as well as powerful anti-aircraft guns. Special attention should be paid to the Douglas DC-3 "Dakota". This plane once belonged to Hollywood star Clark Gable, and it is unique as the only exhibit that visitors are allowed to step inside.

Once inside the "Dakota" cabin, it’s easy to imagine yourself in the company of celebrities: logbooks show that icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, and even John F. Kennedy flew on this aircraft. This place is literally steeped in 20th-century history.

Don't forget to visit the exhibition hall, which houses collections of awards, aircraft models, and pilot uniforms from various years. For those interested in space, the park has special themed displays. To remember your visit, you can buy authentic aviation memorabilia at the souvenir shop: original badges and patches that make excellent gifts for any traveler.

Getting There

This impressive exhibition complex is located in the village of Cerbaiola, practically on the border with the Republic of San Marino. The exact address of the site is Via Santa Aquilina, 58. Since the display is spread across a picturesque hillside, it is clearly visible from the main road leading toward San Marino.

The easiest way to reach the park is by private car or by taking a taxi from the city center, as the site is somewhat removed from major urban routes. If you are driving from central Rimini, follow the signs toward the border with the neighboring state.

Public transport in this direction runs less frequently, so tourists without their own vehicle are recommended to book a taxi in advance or check the schedule of suburban buses heading toward San Marino to get off at the stop nearest the museum.

History & Facts

The history of this unique place began in 1995. The initiative came from a group of reserve Air Force officers who were passionate about the idea of creating a cultural center to preserve aviation heritage. Their enthusiasm turned an empty plot of land covering over 100,000 square meters into one of Europe's most significant private aviation museums.

The collection was built gradually, bringing together equipment that served in the Italian Air Force since World War II, as well as American and Soviet-made models. In 2004, the park expanded with the opening of a separate model aircraft museum, which became an important addition to the main collection.

The park's main exhibition pavilion is named after Italo Balbo — the only Marshal of the Air Force in Italian history. Today, the organization is not only involved in displaying exhibits but also conducts active research work, hosting thematic conferences and international meetings for specialists.

Time Needed

To take a leisurely look at all the planes in the open air and visit the indoor pavilions with uniforms and awards, most visitors need about 2–3 hours. The park's territory is quite extensive, and the exhibits are arranged so that the walk feels like a short journey across varied terrain.

If you are a true aviation enthusiast and plan to study the information plaques in detail (many of which, by the way, are translated into Russian), it is worth setting aside about half a day for the visit. This will allow you to take photos and examine rare mechanical details without rushing.

Working Hours

Currently, the exact opening hours of the Aviation Theme Park may vary, and some sources list the site as temporarily closed. To ensure your trip is successful, we strongly recommend checking the current opening hours before setting off.

The best way to get reliable information is to visit the museum's official website or make a quick phone call. This will help you avoid disappointment and plan your visit for the most convenient time.
