Discovering the architectural character of the capital of Slovenia is impossible without visiting the place where the great master Jože Plečnik lived and created his masterpieces. Plečnik House in the city of Ljubljana is a unique museum complex that combines the former residence, studio, and garden of the prominent 20th-century architect.

Recognized in 2009 as a monument of national importance, this site has preserved an atmosphere of authentic creativity and asceticism. Here, on Karunova Street, Plečnik realized his architectural experiments, adding a cylindrical tower, a winter garden, and circular rooms to the original building. The interiors remain virtually untouched: personal belongings, original furniture, and the master's tools are still in the same places they were decades ago.
Today, the museum, managed by the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana (MGML), offers guests a deep immersion into the architect's philosophy. The exhibition features drawings, models, and sketches of Plečnik's most famous projects, which shaped the city's modern appearance by harmoniously blending classical traditions with Art Nouveau elements.
