Would you like to touch the living history of the Northern Black Sea region? The Mykolaiv Regional Museum of Local History is one of the oldest and richest museums that Ukraine is proud of. Located in the city of Mykolaiv, it serves as the region's primary cultural hub, where evidence of the land's multi-century past is carefully preserved.

The museum building itself deserves special attention. It is a national architectural monument built in 1840–1841 according to the design of the famous architect Charles Ackroyd. Designed in the late English Classicism style, it originally served as barracks for naval crews, and today it hospitably opens its doors to history enthusiasts.
The museum occupies a picturesque spot on the Embankment (Naberezhna), offering a beautiful view of the Southern Bug river. Here, the majestic architecture of the past harmoniously blends with a rich collection, making it a must-visit for any traveler exploring the southern regions of the country.
